0 Linux media streaming box with WiFi. Part 2

Go to link : http://www.subsonic.org/pages/installation.jsp#debian

Follow install manual and … that’s all.

Now you have your media streaming box up and running.

You can login by entering  Server IP address.

Example : 192.168.1.4:4040

Username/password :  admin/admin

Some extra stuff, you may need or will find interesting.

1. To download any other version, go to:

 http://sourceforge.net/projects/subsonic/files/subsonic/

2. To download in terminal , use :

wget http://switch.dl.sourceforge.net/project/subsonic/subsonic/4.8/subsonic-4.8.deb

3. If you need to uninstall subsonic, use :

sudo dpkg -l | grep subsonic

sudo dpkg -P subsonic

4. If you cannot remove directory /subsonic in /var :

sudo rm -R subsonic

5. If you don’t want to pay for extra stuff , what Subsonic can give, or you just want to test it,

6. If you want to use hack mentioned above, you must use version 4.8.

In version 4.9 this hack is fixed.

I won’t be explaining how to do this by steps, because developer just needs his green.

And If I will like this product in the end, I will pay those 12$ a year.
